Automation & Control Engineer for Yaw System (m/f/d)

We are looking for an Automation & Control Engineer (m/f/d) with solid professional experience to strengthen our engineering team, ideally with background in yaw systems for wind turbines. In this role, you will develop control algorithms for industrial systems and contribute to load analysis and evaluation as part of system design, validation, and optimization.
YOUR TASKS
- Perform load analysis and load evaluation in Matlab of the pitch & yaw systems and its components (e.g. drives, converters, energy storage)
- Support interpretation of load data for dimensioning, performance assessment, and optimization
- Apply Simulink for modeling, simulation, and analysis of control functions
- Adaptation, implementation and verification of model-based design control function blocks in Simulink
- Develop, adapt, and maintain control software using Structured Text (ST), preferably Siemens PLCs
- Analyze existing control and system behavior, and implement improvements
- Support system integration, testing, and validation activities
- Create and maintain technical documentation of software, functions, and test results as well as development reports and manage PLM data
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
YOUR PROFILE

Master’s degree in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field

2–3 years of experience in automation, control software, or PLC-based systems

Experience or strong interest in load analysis, system dimensioning, and motion/drive systems

Strong hands-on experience with Matlab/Simulink

Knowledge of Siemens PLC environments (e.g. TIA Portal) and Structured Text (ST) is an advantage

Solid understanding of industrial automation and control fundamentals

Experience with commissioning, testing, and structured software development (version control, Python/C/C++) is a plus

Structured, independent, solution-oriented mindset with fluent English skills
