We are currently looking to recruit a Sales Managers on a Permanent basis to join the team covering the UK and Ireland. 

 

This role can be based anywhere within the UK & Ireland, however there is a requirement for regular travel to our head office in Didsbury, Manchester and locations across UK & Europe. 

 

 

How can you make a difference?

 

As a key member of the Nordex UK and Ireland Sales Team, you will be responsible for identifying new onshore wind project opportunities through building strong relationships with new and existing customers. 

 

 

 

What will you be doing? 

 

Key responsibilities for this role include: 

  • Maintaining relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Evaluating economic attractiveness of Nordex’ offer using financial models
  • Maximising profitability by optimising technical and commercial proposals
  • Taking the lead in responding to competitive tenders
  • Working with the extended sales team (including tender managers, sales engineers, legal and service sales colleagues) in order to deliver competitive, high quality, risk mitigated proposals and projects
  • Managing the negotiation and closing of complex supply contracts with customers and involved parties
  • Taking responsibility for compliance with the internal sales process and hand-over to Project Management team
  • Providing Technical explanation and customer consultation on product offering
  • Regular interaction with customers, key decision makers within the industry
  • Analysis of customer and market needs, and feedback to the organisation on product requirements and market developments

 

 

What are we looking for? 

 

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of working in a customer facing sales management role, preferably within the wind or energy industry.  You will also hold a degree or equivalent qualification in business, financial or mechanical / electrical engineering. 

 

You will have a proven track record of delivering against targets and be familiar with technical projects and concepts. 

 

This role requires someone with excellent communication skills, who can build strong relationships with customers and is a strong negotiator

 

Other attributes required for this role include: 

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Products with an exposure to CRM
  • Self starter with a team player mentality
  • Target orientated through driving excellent customer experience
  • Business orientated thinking
  • Ability to make informed decisions
