Position Summary:

As Project Manager for Continuous Improvement you will lead and manage initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall performance within the Service department. This role requires a strong background in project management, process improvement methodologies, and a deep understanding of O&M functions. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to either identify areas for improvement and/or develop actionable plans on assigned projects, and ensure successful implementation and sustainability of improvement initiatives. Scope of work includes new windfarm integration to Service department process and when needed, supporting windfarms for Recovery.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to execute improvement projects in alignment with departmental and organizational goals.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

 

  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within O&M operations through data analysis, process mapping, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Utilize continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to drive projects that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service quality.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

 

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior management, operational staff, and other departments, to gather requirements and ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Communicate project status, results, and recommendations to Continuous Improvement Manager and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

 

  • Performance Measurement:
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze performance data to assess the impact of projects and identify areas for further enhancement.

 

  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, and presentations, to support project management and decision-making processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, outcomes, and lessons learned.

 

  • Change Management:
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth implementation of new processes, procedures and practices.
  • Address resistance to change and provide support to staff to facilitate adoption of new methods.

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt) are an advantage.
  • Experienced Project Manager, with minimum 3 to 5 years of professional experience in project management in an industrial environment, preferably in the wind industry, or in one of the top consultancy firms
  • Results driven, with proven track record
  • Analytically strong with a structured and reliable way of working
  • Hands on mentality
  • Strong inner drive and ability to make a change
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, intercultural awareness
  • Excellent English skills, both verbally and written; further language skills (e.g. German, Spanish) are an advantage
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Project etc.)
  • Willingness to go on business trips within North America estimated to be 10% Travel
