POSITION SUMMARY
The role of Manager Continuous Improvement directly supports the company’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As the Manager Continuous Improvement, you will be responsible to lead and execute operational and strategical initiatives throughout the Service Organization, which will result in reduction of cost per MW, improved turbine performance and site optimization throughout North America. This includes driving a successful site start-up of new projects.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Drives and manages the cost per MW program.
- Drives Service operational excellence through the management of continuous improvement projects.
- Leads projects for recovery of wind farm that has been operating below expectations. Identify shortfalls, deficiencies, and any other issues negatively impacting the operations of the wind farm. Develop and implement goals and KPI’s to ensure improved performance towards meeting contractual obligations. Return the wind farm to the contractually required level of performance.
- Supports the new site integration
- Coaches, trains & mentors Site Management Team.
- Prepares monthly reporting on individual project status.
- Conducts studies in cost management techniques, productivity/efficiency & identifies necessary improvement projects.
- Leads the change process by working closely with sites and the rest of the Site Leadership Team.
- Leads, trains & monitors the performance of team members to ensure efficiency in service operations, meeting individual and group targets.
- Gathers, collects, organizes, prioritizes, and conducts statistical analysis and presents data concerning business and/or project opportunities
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
WHAT YOU HAVE
- A Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the renewables industry
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and training others to support Continuous Improvement and operational transformations across an organization or area.
- Must be a visionary as well as an analytical thinker with a proven track record in successfully building highly effective teams and implementing best practices in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Very strong hands-on mentality with supportive mindset towards operations team. Strong teamplayer
- Proven ability to lead and align an organization with diverse disciplines and global reach
- Passion for developing talent and a culture of innovation, collaboration, and engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead transformation and effectively engage stakeholders.

- Strong executive presence and resonant communication at all levels. Experience framing communications for executive/employees’ audiences

- Knowledge and experience with Lean Management/ Lean Six Sigma principles
- Thorough knowledge of Service processes
- Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, prepare plans and reports
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and intercultural skills
- Strong Analytical skills
- Solution-Oriented. Ability to identify solutions to complex problems.

- Excellent computer skills to include MS Office Suite applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as necessary.
- Fluent in the English language
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
- Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.

The pay for this role is exempt at $116k - $130k USD salary with up to a 15% bonus. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
