Your Tasks:
- Lead and develop the team; provide functional leadership for project managers and material qualification engineers responsible for industrializing different material commodities
- Own the qualification/industrialization portfolio; define the roadmap, governance and prioritization for global material qualification and supplier introduction projects; balance resources across sites and programs
- Establish robust project governance; implement standard reporting, KPI dashboards, and escalation routines for all running qualification projects; ensure transparent status, risks and decisions needed
- Drive end-to-end material qualification & supplier introduction; lead and oversee qualification from specification to validation, including trials, process capability and serial release for the rotor blades (internal factories and third-party manufacturer)
- Define and control project baselines; set scope, deliverables, budget, milestones and success criteria; maintain integrated project plans (e.g. MS Project) and manage dependencies across functions and locations
- Cross-functional alignment; coordinate material engineering, process engineering, production, quality, supplier quality, sourcing, design/engineering, and suppliers to secure technical decisions and execution
- Risk and issue management; proactively identify risks, drive mitigation plans, and escalate effectively to ensure business continuity
- Supplier and partner management; lead technical alignment with manufacturers and suppliers to improve material performance, robustness, manufacturability & total cost
- Standardization & continuous improvement; capture lessons learned, prevent recurring quality issues, and strengthen global standards and best practices for industrialization of material
Your Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Material, Industrial Engineering or similar
Experience Requirements: 12-16 years of experience in the composites industry / wind turbine blade manufacturing is strongly preferred (process or material function)
Technical & Complementary Skills:
- Proven leadership in a matrix, multi-site environment (people leadership and/or leading a global project)
- Proven task record in industrial project delivery: scope definition, planning, execution, risk & issue management, reporting and decision making.
- Solid understanding of supplier qualification and production readiness (validation approach, process capability, change control, quality gates)
- Confident working in an intercultural, international environment; willingness to travel
- Excellent skills in MS Office, especially MS Project
- APQP knowledge would be an advantage
- Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to challenge constructively and align stakeholders
- Hands-on, structured and proactive working style; able to run multiple projects in parallel
