Job Title: Specialist – New Product Implementation
Location: Chennai
Department: Global Blade
Your Tasks: As part of the Global NPI team within the R&D function, you will be responsible for supporting blade manufacturing processes and ensuring successful industrialization of new blade projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as process owner for defined blade manufacturing processes within the global NPI team.
- Support process development for new blade projects including prototyping, zero-series, and global production rollouts.
- Prepare and review process specifications, documentation, Bills of Materials (BOM), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and manpower planning.
- Develop decision matrices for product and process design; prepare test documentation, conduct trials, and generate test reports.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Blade Engineering, Quality, Tooling, R&D, NPI) for development activities, process improvements, and change management.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to align on development changes and supervise production/process activities during rollouts.
- Travel extensively (up to 6 months/year, including continuous stays of 3–6 weeks) to support project execution and plant ramp-ups.
Your Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Process, Production, Composites, or Aeronautics
Technical & Complementary Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, Teamcenter, and AutoCAD 2D
- Knowledge of CATIA or Siemens NX
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints
- Strong training, team management, and conflict-resolution skills
Experience Requirements

Minimum 8 years of experience in the composite manufacturing industry (marine, civil, blade structures)

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in:
- Boat building or composite structures (blades/civil)
- Processes such as Hand Layup, VART, RIM
- Use of epoxy or polyester materials

At least 4 years of experience in
- New product development
- International product rollouts
- Process engineering in production with focus on HSE, Quality, Cost, and Cycle Time (CT)
