Job Title: ServiceNow Platform Architect
Location: Chennai, India
Role Summary: The ServiceNow Platform Architect is responsible for defining and governing the overall ServiceNow architecture, roadmap, and platform standards. The role ensures scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, ITIL best practices, and business objectives. The architect works closely with stakeholders, developers, administrators, and application managers to deliver integrated solutions across ServiceNow modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain ServiceNow platform architecture, standards, and governance.
- Lead solution design for ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, HAM/SAM, HRSD, CSM, and related modules.
- Design and oversee integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server, SSO, OAuth, and SCIM.
- Drive CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping strategy and data governance.
- Ensure platform security, performance, scalability, and availability.
- Establish development standards, testing strategies, release management, and CI/CD practices.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Data teams.
- Lead technical reviews, platform upgrades, and architectural governance.
- Mentor developers and administrators, driving engineering best practices.
- Act as the primary technical liaison with ServiceNow and implementation partners.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 6-12 years of ServiceNow experience, including 3-5+ years in architecture or technical leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and HAM/SAM.
- Deep knowledge of ServiceNow scripting, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, ACLs, and platform architecture.
- Experience with enterprise integrations, performance tuning, and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong understanding of ITIL v4 and Service Management best practices.
