YOUR TASKS
- Provide operational support for PLM Teamcenter users, including analysis and resolution of incidents, service requests, and recurring issues
- Act as a local contact for PLM users in Chennai, ensuring effective communication, user satisfaction, and knowledge sharing
- Analyze and support the improvement of business processes in collaboration with engineering, IT, and other stakeholders
- Translate business needs into functional requirements and support the definition of PLM solution concepts within Teamcenter
- Support the implementation of PLM solutions and improvements, including coordination with external consultants and vendors when required
- Participate in PLM projects of varying complexity, with increasing responsibility over time depending on experience and business needs
- Support post–go-live activities such as stabilization, validation, documentation, and handover to operations
- Collaborate with cross‑functional, international teams to ensure consistent and sustainable PLM solutions across the organization
YOUR PROFILE
You bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a comparable qualification
- Experience or strong interest in PLM, engineering IT systems, or enterprise applications
- A structured, hands‑on working style and the willingness to take responsibility for operational support as well as continuous improvement
- The ability to understand business processes and user needs, and to translate them into system‑related topics
- Experience working with users, stakeholders, or external partners in a professional environment
- A proactive attitude, strong problem‑solving skills, and openness to learning in a complex global setup
- Very good communication skills and confidence working in an international context
- Fluent English; German or Spanish are a plus4
Nice to have / advantageous:
- Experience with Siemens Teamcenter in an engineering or industrial environment
- Experience with CAD/PLM integrations (e.g. NX and Teamcenter)
- Functional experience with one or more Teamcenter modules (e.g. Change Management, Manufacturing Process Planner, Product Configurator, Requirement Management, Supplier Collaboration, MRO, MBSE, Reporting & Analytics)
- Experience with other PLM systems, ERP/SAP, or PLM–ERP integrations
- Experience working with external consultants or vendors
- Knowledge of renewable energy or similar industrial sectors
- Interest or first hands‑on experience in applying AI or data‑driven approaches in engineering or PLM‑related contexts
