Engineer - PPC

Job Overview: We are looking for a highly driven and analytical Engineer – PPC to strengthen our Production Planning & Controlling function. The role is critical in ensuring seamless coordination between demand, production, and delivery by developing robust production plans, maintaining accurate demand data, and driving operational efficiency. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance while also analyzing production losses and implementing corrective actions to enhance productivity and minimize wastage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop detailed production plans aligned with customer demand forecasts and business objectives.
- Optimize resource utilization (manpower, machines, materials) to ensure efficient operations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Quality to ensure smooth execution of plans.
- Continuously monitor production schedules and make adjustments to address changes in demand or constraints.
2. Demand Management & System Updates
- Regularly update demand forecasts and sales requirements in the system (ERP/MRP).
- Ensure data accuracy to support effective planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with Sales and Supply Chain teams to validate and refine demand inputs.
3. OTIF (On-Time In-Full) Delivery Management
- Track and monitor production and delivery performance against planned targets.
- Identify risks or delays proactively and drive mitigation actions.
- Ensure adherence to delivery commitments to maintain high customer satisfaction and service levels.
- Generate reports and dashboards to track OTIF metrics and highlight gaps.
4. Loss Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct detailed analysis of production losses, downtime, and inefficiencies.
- Identify root causes using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., Pareto analysis, Fishbone diagrams).
- Develop actionable improvement plans and monitor implementation status.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve process efficiency.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related field).

Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience in Production Planning, Manufacturing Operations, or Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment.
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning, Scheduling, and Inventory Management.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability to analyze complex production data and derive meaningful insights.
- Strong root-cause analysis and decision-making capabilities.
