We are looking for a Local Operations Manager to oversee and drive the day-to-day operations across our sites in Australia. This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency, compliance with safety and quality standards, and the effective utilisation of resources. As a key leadership position, you will play a central role in bridging strategic objectives with operational execution, supporting business growth, and ensuring consistent performance across local operations.

 

YOUR TASKS
 
  • Lead and manage the overall operational performance of the wind farm, ensuring availability, reliability and compliance with KPIs and contractual obligations
  • Take full ownership of health, safety and environmental performance, driving a strong safety culture aligned with WHS requirements
  • Manage and develop on-site teams, ensuring high performance, capability growth and operational discipline
  • Oversee maintenance activities and asset performance, optimising turbine availability and maximising energy production
  • Act as the main interface with clients and stakeholders, ensuring strong relationships, transparency and customer satisfactionManage budgets, cost control and operational planning, ensuring efficient and sustainable operations
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Engineering, Grid, Supply Chain, Project) to ensure effective problem-solving and seamless operations
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational optimisation initiatives, including digitalisation and best practices
 

YOUR PROFILE

 

  • Degree in Engineering or relevant technical field
  • 5–10+ years’ experience in operations or maintenance within wind energy or renewable projectsStrong understanding of wind farm operations, asset performance and maintenance strategies
  • Proven experience managing remote sites and field teamsSolid knowledge of WHS and safety management in Australia
  • Experience managing KPIs, service contracts and client relationships
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience with SCADA systems and operational data analysis
  • Ability to adapt and perform in fast-paced and remote environments
