MISSION:

Managing all aspects of hazardous material and dangerous goods usage within the business. Aligning processes relating to hazardous materials management. Supporting the engineering, sourcing and operational HSE teams in manufacturing plants as well as construction and service activities worldwide. Developing action plans and preventive measures and driving the implementation of Nordex Group HSE standards and management system relevant to hazardous materials.

 

TASKS:

  • Responsible for global Hazardous Material Management tools and processes to ensure evaluation of hazardous Materials prior to implementing
  • Coordinate improvement projects relating to hazardous materials / dangerous goods.
  • Creation and update datasets, general operating instructions and training materials for hazardous material.
  • Support engineering teams on hazardous material aspects relating to new product design, industrialization projects and developments.
  • Expert in current hazardous material regulations (REACH, OSHA, ADR etc):
    • Support / Advise engineering, sourcing and operational teams on requirements for labelling, transport, handling, storage and disposal of materials.
    • Monitor and communicate information about changes in the regulations and ensure compliance with these changes.
  • Ensure internal audits schedules include relevant topics to demonstrate compliance with the management system and monitor results.
  • Support internal and external audits, inquiries from regulatory authorities or clients
  • Reporting of hazardous material usage against various legislative cadastres

YOUR PROFILE:

  • University degree (Engineering or similar technical degree) with Health and Safety Advisor Training 
  • Additional environmental qualification desirable
  • High English Level (working language)
  • Desirable at least 2 years of experience in the role of hazardous materials / dangerous goods advisor
  • Strong IT, communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work in teams with good intercultural awareness
  • Logical thinker who relies on data for decision making
  • Availability to travel (15-30%)
