Facilities Manager (m/f/d)

Position Summary:

Based in the West Branch, Iowa, Nordex USA seeks a Facilities Manager.  Responsible for facilities and systems maintenance, office housekeeping, Department budget tracking and reporting. 



  • Manage the building maintenance staff/contractors and housekeeping of offices and shared facilities spaces such as break room and bathrooms.
  • Manage contracted services as needed to maintain overall building and facilities systems, including coordination of 3rd party contractors to maintain HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing etc.
  • Manage and coordinate building security staffing in conjunction with the IT security team.
  • Monitor maintenance logs and tracking to ensure inspections and required services are done in a timely fashion and assign tasks as required.  
  • Work with facilities or regional HSE officer as necessary to support continuous improvement of the building and systems.
  • Assist facility or Regional HSE officer as required with maintaining all records related to compliance with regulatory and third-party standards and requirements.
  • Attend and participate in cross-functional meetings and report relevant facilities and QHSE related information as requested.
  • Develop Work orders for suppliers performing work on behalf of the Operational Excellence department.
  • Develop building improvement plans including cost estimates and capital improvement requests as needed
  • Enter departmental requisitions for goods and services for multiple departments and monitor departmental budget conformance for facilities and QHSE; Monitor and create POs to support the organization.
  • Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures as they relate to Nordex USA and within specific departments as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.



  • Associates degree, Technical School education, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in managing or coordinating the activity of others, preferred experience in management of third-party contractors.
  • Demonstrated analytical and technology skills, including proficiency in project planning tools, content management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to interface with management to resolve and provide actionable reports.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Preferred experience in facilities maintenance and management
  • Preferred experience in office management
