Accounts Payable Supervisor (m/f/d)

As an Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate accounts payable activities, ensuring an accurate accounts payable system, invoices have the proper 3-way matches, and prepare accurate and timely payment proposals.  Set up and apply all payments to vendors.


Guarantee that management of other Accounts Payable Coordinators within the department flows in an organized, prioritized, and distributed equally among all Accounts Payable staff.



  • Coordinates, organizes, prioritizes, and distributes workload among Accounts Payable Coordinators and fills in as necessary to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices.
    • Reviews invoices and check requests.
    • Sorts and matches invoices and check requests.
    • Sets invoices up for payment.
    • Processes check requests.
    • Resolves invoice discrepancies.
    • Maintains vendor files.
    • Opens and distributes paper mail for processing in a timely manner.
  • Implements and monitors accounting and internal control systems to ensure transactions are properly recorded and assets are safeguarded.
  • Reviews customer accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Corresponds with vendors and business partners, and responds to inquiries.
  • Prepares payment proposals for checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
  • Assists in month-end closing, including subledger reconciliation and invoice accruals.
  • Produces weekly and monthly reports related to communicating invoice status and aging to business partners.
  • Provides training to business partners for xFlow approval process.
  • Develops department metrics, and takes action to achieve results.




  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration is preferred
  • 5-7 years of accounts payable and/or general accounting experience
  • Previous management experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of accounts payable 
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • SAP A/P experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and change directions quickly
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong business communication and information management skills
