Position Summary:
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to manage complex customer claims and other disputes. Your responsibilities will also include detailing and reporting critical business risks across the Sales to Operations value-chain.
Responsibilities:
- Develops commercial positions and negotiation strategies, in alignment with key stakeholders, that facilitate the settlement of complex customer claims and other disputes.
- Leads key negotiations with customers and external stakeholders.
- Analyzes, assesses and reports critical business risks across the Sales to Operations value-chain to the Sr. Director and North American Leadership Team members. Provides risk mitigation solutions for analysis and review.
- Supports resolution of day-to-day commercial issues that arise within the organization.
- Liaises with commercial team members divisionally and globally to collaborate on commercial and negotiation strategies.
- Supports development of information sharing processes and mediums to enhance inter-divisional visibility of successful negotiation strategies.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline required (or equivalent work experience).
- Advanced Degree preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in Project Management, Service or Commercial Operations; concentration in the wind energy industry and construction is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, organizational ability, and positive leadership traits, along with knowledge and use of negotiation skills.
- Medium to advanced commercial negotiation experience.
- Advanced understanding of turbine supply and service agreements.
- Medium to advanced understanding of liquidated damages and defect warranty terms and conditions.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required (Excel, Powerpoint)
- Ability to communicate via effective PowerPoint presentations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, multi-task efficiently, meet deadline obligations, prepare reports, and outline what is best practice.
- Work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems independently with a high level of results orientation.
- Previous experience managing business risks desirable.
- Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.
