Sales Engineer

DEPARTMENT:  Engineering

Our Sales Engineers are listening our customers to understand their technical concerns and challenges in order to provide needed information and to propose fit-for-purpose solutions. Together with Sales Department they are responsible for all technical topics related to our products and services and are closely connected to our Engineering department. Nordex is now looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in Helsinki and to support Nordic Region. 

 

 

YOUR TASKS

  • Analyze and understand technical market and customer needs
  • Explain our products and services to customers, consultants and others
  • Review, align and prepare technical proposals with relevant stakeholders and negotiate them in complex contracts with our customers and their technical advisers
  • Be up-to-date with technical market requriements and keep our Product Management and Engineering in the loop
  • Identify risks and opportunities in early phase and develop adequate mitigation measures
  • Implement and support corporate processes and tools and develop locally required processes / tools in cooperation with the central function
  • Report achievements, risks and challenges on regular basis;  be actively involved in Health, Safety & Environmental aspects
  • Irregular travel within the country and abroad is part of the job.

 

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor or Master in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, renewable energies, etc.)
  • Experience in both Sales and Engineering of machinery or investment goods, wind energy and or other renewable energies is an asset
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Embraces teamwork 
  • Fluent or Native Finnish Speaking and Excellent English communication skills in speaking and writing
  • Ready to work in a dynamic and fast developing atmosphere
  • Self-driven, proactive and process-oriented working style, with sufficient flexibility to cover the unforeseen 
  • Ability to deal and work with other cultures and technical areas hand in hand and to find the best solutions
