At Nordex, we are committed to continuously optimizing the aerodynamic performance of our rotor blades while minimizing noise emissions. As part of our Aerodynamic Design and Systems team, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of rotor blades, using both advanced simulation methods and real-world data.
YOUR TASKS
- Conduct in-depth aeroacoustic analyses related to field performance and deviation requests for wind turbines
- Plan, organize, and execute field and wind tunnel measurement campaigns
- Develop and continuously improve aeroacoustic prediction methods, including performance and aeroelastic modeling
- Support the industrialization and validation of simulation methods and tools
- Analyze and interpret field data to identify and address noise-related challenges
- Collaborate closely with a parallel aerodynamic team focusing on methodology and software tools
- Coordinate with structural and material teams (e.g. carbon and glass fiber layups) to ensure integrated solutions
YOUR PROFILE
- Master’s degree in Aerodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Aerospace Engineering or a related field
- Solid knowledge in aerodynamics and aeroacoustics; experience with aeroelasticity is a plus
- Relevant experience in simulation methods (e.g. CFD, BEM) and analysis tools
- Hands-on programming skills in Python and/or MATLAB
- Experience with field/service topics or acoustic measurements is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive, self-organized working style
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary and cross-cultural teams
- Fluent in English; Spanish or German is a plus
