Industrial Relations Manager

Mission: The Industrial Relations Manager will be responsible for managing the relationship between Nordex and its employees, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations, and promoting a positive and productive work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating collective bargaining agreements with labour unions, providing guidance and support to managers and supervisors on employee relations issues, and developing and implementing policies and procedures related to employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee relations, including disciplinary procedures, grievance procedures, and conflict resolution processes.
- Ensure compliance with LRA and BCEA, for topics relating to wage, overtime, and workplace safety.
- Negotiate collective bargaining agreements with labour unions and manage the relationship between Nordex and the union.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on employee relations issues, including performance management, employee discipline, and termination.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances and recommend appropriate actions to resolve them.
- Develop and deliver training programs for employees and managers on topics related to employee relations, including diversity and inclusion, harassment prevention, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Collaborate with other departments within Nordex, People and Culture, Legal, and Finance, to ensure that employee relations policies and procedures are aligned with overall organizational goals and objectives.
- Stay up to date with changes in labour laws and regulations and provide guidance to the organization on how to comply with these changes.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, labour unions, and other stakeholders, and represent Nordex in negotiations and other interactions related to employee relations.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial relations, preferably in a multinational organization.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations (LRA and BCEA)
- Experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements with labour unions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, labour unions, and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
