DEPARTMENT:  Project Management (Site Management / Erection / I

Job purpose
Manage and control the project in terms of time, cost and quality from the point of handover from Sales up until handover to the client and Nordex Service


Key accountabilities
•    Support the Sales organization in the final stages of tender processes and facilitate a smooth handover from Sales to Project Management
•    Execution of comprehensive projects on-time, within budget and to good quality
•    Manage and monitor all aspects of environment, health and safety
•    First contact for all parties involved in the project such as client, subcontractors, suppliers and any other internal or external party 
•    Representing the Nordex organization to our clients – creating a good relationship with the client and delivering customer satisfaction
•    Negotiations and with subcontractors and suppliers as well as contract management of both
•    Responsible for contract and claim management towards clients and subcontractors
•    Manage personnel and provide strong control of subcontractors and key suppliers including but not limited to erection and transportation companies throughout the project execution phase
•    Securing correct project handling and creating a successful team with team members from various departments such as central engineering, logistics, site management, commissioning engineer, erection supervisors
•    Secure project configuration in SAP, secure supply chain by following up component procurement and availability with regards to the project schedule
•    Monitor and safeguard required level of quality throughout erection, finishing and commissioning works within given budget and time frame
•    Define and initiate appropriate corrective actions for problems encountered during the execution of the project (related to cost, time and/or quality) 
•    Creating necessary transparency with regards to an optimization of cost-effectiveness in cooperation with Commercial Project Management. 
•    Work within Nordex processes to manage  and report progress on project with a monthly status report incl. reporting to the Area PM with regards to HSE, quality, cost, progress of the works, claims, installed equipment and quality
•    Manage and report KPIs
•    Facilitate a smooth handover to colleagues in Service, at the same time as handover to the client
•    Frequent travel within UK & IRE is required
•    Coordinate the schedule of Site Managers

Career / Job experience
•   Significant experience as Project Manager in operative project execution and construction management for complex technical projects either in civil construction, manufacturing and plant engineering industry, ideally within the wind energy sector within UK & IE and/or similar industries/energy sectors; experience with turnkey projects preferable; 
•    Experience in project management incl. full responsibility for multi-million EUR contracts with strong commercial and financial acumen;
•    Lead the delivery of large, complex and technically challenging projects with utility scaled clients would be advantageous.

Education and qualification
•   Technical background with a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
•    Excellent computer skills are required, especially MS Office, MS Project and industry standard software
