Project Manager, Major Correctives (m/f/d)

Summary of Role
As Project Manager for Major Correctives, you will be responsible for managing any Special Project designated within the Services Department, specially focused on major Correctives.
Special Projects are considered Blade Inspections/Repairs Campaigns, Retrofits Campaigns, Site Support and Major Corrective campaigns.
This position includes Cost Forecast and Control, Resources management, Materials Coordination, Scheduling and Monitoring of any activity related with the Project.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all projects meet or exceed Nordex HSE legal requirements.
- Overall HSE responsibility of Nordex activity at the project
- Project planning, estimating, and executing of individual US projects.
- Budget Forecast and Cost Control. Profit and loss responsibility.
- Prepares budget, cost allocation and control of special projects; maintenances, inspections, retrofits, large component exchanges and repairs
- Prepares plans and schedule resources for Technical management projects as well as large component exchanges and repairs.
- Negotiates cost of equipment, tooling, and subcontractor agreements.
- Coordinates logistics/mobilization of necessary specialized tooling and equipment for maintenance and repair activities at site.
- Cost and budget compliance with the individual project reporting and claim management.
- Subcontractors quotes Request / Negotiation.
- Coordination and implementation of technical solutions in cooperation with the Engineering and Supply Management department.
- Perform pertinent operational and departmental tasks as required.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
- Follow standard Nordex Project Management processes
- Visit project sites, suppliers, and international support groups to facilitate successful completion of job duties; TRAVEL Requirements about 25%.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Update and communicate Project HSE RACI to onsite leaders per project
- Manage and/or generate HSE/CINC tickets
- HSE Incident Reporting & HSE Incident Investigation
- Risk assessment definition
- Control of High-Risk Work
- HSE Training compliance for any Nordex or subcontractor at the project
- Coordination and implementation of technical solutions (retrofits).
- Manage costs, monitor and validate contractor invoices.
- Coordination and execution of all major correctives within the Services Department
- Supervise and coordinate resources on-site during a project.
- Communicate project status to Site Managers to facilitate customer communications.
- Generate and present periodic reports to the senior management team.

Requirements:
- Degree in technical or engineering field, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
- PMP is preferred but not required.
- Experience in managing crane activities and major correctives, 2+ years.
- Must demonstrate an understanding of international and domestic supplier relations and strong interpersonal, organizational, and intercultural skills
- A basic knowledge and appreciation for the technical, commercial, and political aspects driving the wind industry
- Computer skills including MS Office
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of service processes (Operations, Maintenance, Customer Responsiveness, and Engineering) and quality assurance principles
- Highly motivated and business orientated
- Capable of working independently
- Demonstrated ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, and to prepare plans and reports
- Demonstrated ability to manage several activities/projects at once, organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, and prepare plans and reports
- Proficiency in Spanish is preferred
- Travel to project sites as required (up to 25% travel)
- Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.
