Technical Trainer (m/f/d)

The Technical Trainer is responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of technical training for Nordex wind turbines. Service technicians, commissioners, customers, and subcontractors are trained by the Regional Technical Academy on a wide range of topics – turbine control, maintenance or troubleshooting are just a few of the topics. To conduct these trainings, we have a training center at our location in West Branch, Iowa. In addition, currently, a lot of virtual classroom training is developed and conducted.  Desired location is West Branch, IA or Dallas, TX. 



  • Conducting Technical Training with a focus on (electrical) components of onshore wind turbines (VFD, pitch, yaw) as well as maintenance and service procedures
  • Implementing different learning formats (classroom training, on-the-job-training, virtual learning) in order to qualify customers, subcontractors, and staff members
  • Qualifying trainer colleagues by means of the train-the-trainer concept
  • Taking over product responsibility for defined training programs and trainings
  • Being interface between departments, experts as well as internal and external clients



  • Degree in a relevant technical field, preferably electrical or IT qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of professional field experience in a technical area, ideally in the wind energy industry
  • Conceptual and analytical thinking
  • Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Advanced written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent ability to convey complex technical content
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable speaking to an audience
  • Capacity to work in a team with high motivation and enthusiasm
  • Willingness for continual improvement of personal and professional skills
  • Working place in West Branch, IA with national and international travel obligations
